One minute Dorthy and her dog Toto are in Kansas and a cyclone is going on around them.... and the next minute Dorthy and Toto in a strange land they don't know were! Dorthy meets munchkins who live in the land a a good witch named Glinda who are so grateful to her for she Has killed the wicked witch of the east! After seeing that her house has landed on the wicked witch the silver shoes which are on the which now belong to Dorthy. Dorthy is longing to go back to Kansas and so the good witch Gilinda tells her to go to the great wizard - Oz. Follow the yellow brick road they say...and off she goes! Along the road Dorthy meets many helpful people and lots of friends. She first meets the scarecrow who wishes he is like other men and had a brain. He decides so come with Dorthy to see if Oz can give him a brain.


Next Dorthy and the tin man meet The tin man. The tin man longs for a heart of his own. Next the meet the Lion. He is a coward and wishes for courage. When they finally reach the Emerald city (where Oz lives) and of course there have been many adventures along the way. The great Oz tells all of them that if they Kill the last wicked witch (The wicked witch of the west) They will all have their wishes granted. They think this impossible but set off to try anyways. They witch takes the lion and Dorthy (and of course Toto) to her castle and leaves the tin man all bent up and the scarecrow thrown in the tree in the woods. The wicked witch gets a hold of one of Dorthy's shoes but Dorthy knows she will have power if she gets them. Dorthy grabs a bucket of water and throws it on the witch not thinking of what will happen. The wicked witch of the west starts to melt and is dead!

So Dorthy and the lion go to help the tin man and the scarecrow and soon are back in good shape. When they get back to the emerald city the Oz allows them to see him. He is reveled by Toto and it is found out that he is not a wizard at all. He used tricks and cannot keep his promise to them. They are all very dissipointed and sad but Oz tells them to come back tomorrow to him. They come back the next day and Oz gives the tin man a heart, the scarecrow a brain but sadly cannot get Dorthy back to Kansas. But then Oz has an Idea. She could at least go over the dessert on a hot air balloon! And Oz is going to go with her! They plan to go the next morning but as Dorthy is going to get on the balloon the balloon fly's away....without Dorthy! Dorthy is now so sad and doesn't know what to do except take the advice from a servant and go to seek the help from Glinda the good witch. When they reach Glinda she helps all of them She helps The tin man go to rule in the catle where the wicked witch lived, she helps the lion go to te forest he needs to be at so he can be king of the jungle and she helps the scarecrow go back to the emerald city where he will rule. And at last Dorthy's time has came she says goodbye to her friends and 1 - 2 - 3 clicks of her heels and she's in bed home in Kansas! This was a fun story and I loved it!!!
