it was ok
bookshelves: book-club-book

Normally, I wouldn't have bothered finishing this book... but it was for the Book Club that I was hosting... and I was like "surely, the guy who wrote Slumdog Millionaire can write a decent story? Maybe it will get better? Maybe the ending will blow my mind?" Not so much.

Basically, our Book Club consensus was that this book was in desperate need of a good editor. And a less stereotypical Texan character. And fewer convoluted plot turns.

However, it wasn't all bad. I liked the general concept of following the six suspects of a murder. And I feel like I know a bit more about Indian culture now. Who knows, maybe it will make a killer movie?
