Hmmmm..."Hunter's Moon" by C.T. Adams and Cathy Clamp was definitely interesting and, for the most part, entertaining. This is the first book in the Tales of the Sazi series, and kicked off with an interesting look at supernatural-love Italian mafioso-style.

Tony Giodone has been an assassin for the Family for many years, and has no qualms about murder for hire. Until he meets Sue Quentin, who wants to hire Tony to kill her, only the man and the wolf inside Tony cannot seem to get past the attraction he has for Sue. Now, Sue and Tony have to face dangerous people who want them dead, and the dangerous feelings both are starting to have for one another.

I have mixed feelings about this book. I have to say that I liked the dry, dark humor throughout the story, and accepted the many different characters and story plot of the book. I also liked that the heroine wasn't the skinny, bubbly, drop-dead-gorgeous, over-sexed-but-never-realized it type some writers use in their stories. However, I wasn't to fond of the sterotyped-Italian-mafia-hitman, or the lack of info on the wolf that Tony becomes during the full moon. I just thought there should be more action and suspense to the story, and it was just missing that extra climax up until the last four chapters of the book. I liked the descriptions and explanations about the Sazi and their "community" as a whole. I have to say, this book was a little hard to get into to, but once I got closer to the end I did like the result. I'll have to try the next in the series, Moon's Web.
