Picked this up because I found it on a read alike list for young adults. It was housed in our adult biography section and I started reviewing it to see if should be moved to YA. Kept reading because I wanted to see what happened next.

It reads like young adult and it should appeal to readers who enjoyed "A Child Called It." I'd recommend this to reluctant readers.

Because the events being recounted occurred when the author was a small child, the voice is appropriate. An abundance of typos and simplicity of writing may annoy some readers.
