This book documents the struggles of President Franklin Roosevelt and, after his death, President Harry Truman with domestic politics, infighting among their advisors, and their World War II allies, Joseph Stalin and Winston Churchill. The key meetings of the Big Three at Yalta (Roosevelt, Stalin, and Churchill) and Potsdam (Truman, Churchill, and Stalin) are discussed in depth because of the importance of the decisions that were made at those meetings that impacted both Germany and post-war Europe. An excellent examination of the major players involved in forming U.S. war policies and planning for the upcoming peace. Very readable and very informative.
