    <body><![CDATA[I've only read about 25 pages, so I don't have much to say about the book itself. But, I have a soft-spot for Julia Glass's first novel, Three Junes, and I went to a reading of this book at the Newburyport Literary Festival in April. The reading was also a tasting; the chef at this local restaurant baked desserts based on some that Greenie, the main character, baked in her shop. One of them, the coconut cake with Meyer Lemon and a brown sugar glaze, was one of the most memorable desserts in my dessert-eating history. And apparently, said cake was an impetus for some of the action of the book.]]></body>
