1. I'm not really sure that making a joke of Jack the Ripper is a good idea for a children's book. 2. A guy in a top hat who trips people really isn't funny. 3. There is no suspense created by having grade schoolers running around saying they've been tripped.

The illustrations are good, but the story is sadly lacking.
