I finished this one in just 3 days. It's certainly a page-turner. But, to me, it's a formulaic thriller filled with good guys & bad guys & simplistic commentary on developments in ranching country in North Idaho. Also, there were implausible developments. Most notably, after the 2 kids at the center of the story witness a murder by 3 ex-cops, they are rescued by another coconsipirator, who for some reason shields the kids from discovery, then takes them to his home & calls the guys he just protected the kids from & invites them to come get the kids, who overhear the conversation & escape while he is somehow unable to stop them. It keeps the story going, but at the risk of losing its credibility.
