When you read Virgin River you are so invested in the stories between the characters. As the books progress, not only are you introduced to a new H/H but you are also given a glimpse of the hardships and happiness of the previous characters. I enjoy reading more about Jack, Mel, Paige and Preacher and seeing what's new in their lives. I hope their stories continue throughout the rest of the series. I'm really enjoying Virgin River so far!

Mike, another Ex-Marine and Ex-LAPD, now resides in Virgin River where he mends back to health from a recent shooting that almost cost him his life. He now works as a Constable for Virgin River and is on a mission to find the culprits responsible for recent date rapes. Brie, who was once a high power ADA and feisty women,is also mending from a recent crime. A victim of attack and rape has turned her life around and has left her scared and helpless. With the help of Mike she brings her life back around. The two of them find the strength in one another and are given a second chance. I did feel that Mike and Brie's relationship didn't get enough writing space in the book but still, because of the other mini stories and characters, I thought it was still a good book.

I am looking forward to reading about Paul and Vanessa.
