really liked it
Read in July, 2009 — I own a copy

This was an old paperpack I found in my unread books. I really enjoyed reading the stories told in the 1600s, 1800s and 1992. It was all about the Hawthorne family and how they all dealt differently with their gifts. It was great the way it was told showing the good and the bad. If you have an interest in witchcraft this might be a book for you.

Devin O'Branagan A new edition of this novel has just been released. It is now updated for the 21st Century and has exciting new content.

Linda Maybe I'll have to try this updated version.

Devin O'Branagan I hope you do, Linda! When Simon & Schuster published it back in 1990, they wanted me to slant it to the horror market. I did so reluctantly, and with regret. I decided to rewrite it according to my original vision and am SO pleased with the result. Plus, I've had 20 years additional writing experience to draw upon for the rewrite! :-)

This new edition has just been released and is available as both an eBook and trade paperback. If you read it, please let me know your thoughts!

Linda I'll have to see if I can get my hands on it after the holidays.
