I've been on a bit of a mid-grade fantasy kick recently, and figured that after reading the Dark is Rising and Prydain series I ought to reread Narnia. I like reading this one first, as I think it makes a nice introduction to The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. It's one of my favorite books in the series too - there's a friendly tone to Lewis' storytelling that I enjoy a lot, characters that aren't perfect but aren't unlikable, and a lovely creation sequence that makes the music and religious studies nerd in me very happy.

I have no idea how many times I've read these, but I'm relatively sure I've only read them once before as an adult, so we'll just go with this being my third reading.
