As with many writers of popular science/psychology, he often overplays the research (extending findings beyond the intention of the original researchers, or trying to apply his ideas to *everything* whether it makes sense or not); but as with the best writers of popular science/psychology, he makes you think and he forces you to put your assumptions up against current research findings. I find his overarching idea to be less than compelling, in all honesty, but it made me think, it has implications in many areas of life, and I'll probably be quoting examples and studies from this book for a long time.
