Hedonism could be interpreted in many ways. Shopping probably is one of the hedonism concepts. But what if shopping becomes a need? The needs sometime increase some obsession. thats what Kinsella seems want to write about.Some obsession of Rebecca, the main character, is the main issues on the plot of this novel.
Kinsella is really good to create one problem to another problem. This book becomes the basic interest to read next series of Shopaholic.

In the fact, this first “series” of Shopaholic which was made me in love with Sophie Kinsella.. or Rebecca probably? The setting and character seem very familiar for me as a woman. The problems are so real (Dont you ever deny that you never traped in big credit card bills).


Kinsella create the problem in a comedy touch. It is absolutely funny one. But I mean, in English version for sure. When I tried to read for Bahasa (Indonesian ) version, I really lost my desire for laugh. This book is really funny but unfortunately the tr...more
