The title Sworn to Silence makes you think that there is a big secret that the characters are not able to tell. As this story progresses you begin to wonder what the secret actually is.

Linda Castillo does a wonderful job of keeping your interest engaged. The chief of police, Kate Burkholder, grew up as an Amish. As a young adult she chose to leave her family behind and a deep secret.

Now that a killer is on the loose again, in the small town of Painters Mill, Ohio, Kate is forced to reconnect with her family and unearth their deep secret. It isn't until the end that we realize who the killer is and more about Kate's secret past.

This wonderful book was a quick read, mainly because I couldn't put it down. I wanted to see what was going to be uncovered next.
