to be honest when i first started reading this book i was disappointed and struggled with the first 3-4 chapters. there was a lot of 'background' info being thrown out and i couldn't see where it was going nor did i find it very interesting. all of a sudden though it kicks in and once we are on the rollercoaster that is lisbeth salander, mikael blomkvist and others i didn't want to get off. not for the faint hearted - there are some disturbing scenes which you might not want your mother to read but i for one couldn't look away and was intrigued with every word. such a shame we must be rationed to one trilogy only.
