Mary has spent her life in a village surrounded by a forest populated by flesh eating zombies. The only thing separating the village and the "unconsecrated" is a fence. When a breech of the fence forces her and others to flee the village, they begin to search something beyond the only place they've ever known. The book starts out strong, but quickly dissolves under the weight of a dramatic love triangle. It's a zombie book! I wanna see some flesh eating already, not two guys fighting over the main character. The book sets the tone for many secrets to be uncovered but never quite lives up to the promise. Still, this is likely to find a following among fans of undead love stories like Twilight.
