it was amazing
bookshelves: young-adult
Read in April, 2005

Anne is an orphan adopted by mistake in this enchanting tale. The brother and sister who adopt her wanted a boy to take on some of the chores of their Prince Edward Island farm. Anne stays with them and she is fanciful, flightly, and constantly in trouble of her own making. The rest of the series is not as good, but remains true to this beginning. Even if you read none of the others in the series, this is one you will want to pass on to your daughters and granddaughters.
