Beautiful and weighty graphic novel, about a succesful middle-aged architect obsessed with binary distinctions and dichotomy, at the expense of other worldviews, who has just lost everything in a series of catastrophes. The story, in other words, is Not Really My Thing. But this work has a great way of distinguishing different characters by giving them different drawing styles (scribbly, or blocky, etc), which come together and mesh into new forms when the characters interact and become closer. There is also a lot of wordplay: the name of the town is Apogee, the characters are all named clever things.
