This is a lot of fun, though much less extreme than its obvious inspiration, Diary of a Wimpy Kid. I almost can't stand to read Wimpy Kid because the narrator is so brilliantly unreliable and he is always doing such terrible things with no insight and having such terrible things happen to him. There are certain similar moments in Dork Diaries, as when our heroine-narrator has to ride in her father's exterminator-mobile with a giant, super-realistic plastic cockroach on the hood of the car, and when she scares her little sister by convincing her that the tooth fairy will try to pull all her teeth out. But mostly the heroine and her life are far tamer. Her big dilemma is going to a snobby prep school because her father is their exterminator.

message 1: by Sierra (new)

Sierra Its not anything like diary of a wimpy kid so true

person I agree with you, Sierra. It really isn't. They're both diary books but that's practically the only similarity. Nikki, who many be a tad shallow at times, is nowhere near as bad Greg, who is self centered and rude all of the time.

message 3: by Tiana (new) - added it

Tiana Nikki has the protential to move on and don't care what Mackenzie Holister and Jessica says she just have to move on and she have a very caring friends like Chloe,Zoey and Brandon they made Nikki move on and her family members might have iritate her but they all want the best for Nikki...
