I wondered how well a graphic novel could portray the Holocaust, but I found Maus carefully and thoughtfully constructed. I enjoyed the various ways he portrayed the different people groups, and emotion really shone through the entire piece. It reminded me of Persepolis a little.

I can't wait to read Maus II!
