really liked it
bookshelves: mystery-thriller

An above-average page-turner, with smart characters, good plot, some exciting moments, and one or two puzzles that not soooo eeeeeeeasy that I feel insulted like the ones in… ta-da… The Da Vinci Code.

The Templar in the book survives to this day, disguised as a monastery in the Pyrenees. However, the limited resources, both financial and human ones, make the organization a little bit awkward. The military part of the Order now fights with guns. That wouldn’t be very practical in my opinion, since firearms are banned in many European countries, the main operation area of the Order, and will attract too many attentions when used. Some obscure weapons and arm-to-arm combat should make more sense.
