it was amazing

One of the most subtle, satisfying, and compelling books I can remember reading. I then found the film in the library and watched 134 minutes in which I did not dare blink for fear of missing a revealing glance or expression.

Jean I have watched the movie several times. It gave me a lot to think about. I don't know if I'm brave enough to explore the book version.

Lotte Jean - I updated my review after watching the film - such fine performances by a strong cast. While reading the book, I found myself often catching and holding my breath in hopes that a looming disaster of some kind would be averted but that slow-moving train would not veer off of its set course.
