This probably could have gotten four stars from me. The author picks various parents from the Old and New Testament of the Bible and draws lessons form their flaws and virtues. It's pretty nicely done. You may or may not agree with all of his conclusions, but most of them are pretty on point, in my opinion.

At the end of each chapter, he gives 'Parenting Tips' - a summary of the chapter and things you could do to implement the particular lesson.

This would be a good book to use as a devotional supplement - read a chapter a day/week.
