An educational, hands-on investigation into what happens to human bodies after they are donated for scientific research, this book is incidentally hilarious in a forbidden-humor sort of way. The author is fearless and pokes at social taboos. I learned a lot. The book raises important philosophical questions of the soul/body connection, ethical concerns about the treatment of corpses, and the medical definition of death, yet feels like "light summer reading".
