You can't really call Daws the "author" of this book, he is just the collector.

Hawaii, 1959-1989 is just a collection of newspaper clippings telling the evolution of the state in its first thirty years after statehood. It's a scrapbook and what a scrapbook!

I highly, highly recommend this book for anyone from Hawaii who lived through this period and wants to relive it. You will remember so many of the clippings.
