This is a superb book of past and present side by side.

Leonara flees her shattered life in London to return to the city of her birth. There she must reconcile a mystery and a sinful shame of her ancestor's past to be reconciled to the city she wants to make her home. Only then will she be free and able to live in the present and look to the future.
