This is a good satire, but not as much fun to read as Love Etc. I wish there were more relationships and less details about England, England, the newly founded country on the ex Isle of Wright.

Steve I like Barnes but I prefer Flaubert's Parrot and A History Of the World In Ten ½ Chapters to England, England, but that's just me.

Avital It's only my second Julian Barnes, after Love, etc.

Steve Oh, you read Love, etc. without reading Talking It Over first? Did you know that the former is the sequel to the latter?

Avital Yes, but it doesn't matter, really. It's all about relationships and the little explanation needed came within the text.
