This book really showcased the friendship between Sarah Booth and Tinkie. It also showed how in the small amount of time that she has been back Sarah Booth has really found her place in the town and among the townspeople. I wish things had worked out with her and Coleman because I would like to see her stick around, and I don't think that will happen with Graf. For some reason I just don't like him. The twists and turns about the cotton and the weevils just kept coming. Some of them I had figured out, but others surprised me. I had figured out what was happening to Sarah Booth right away and was heartbroken to see what happened to her. It will be interesting to see how things play out in the next book.
