Great drags at some points and you wonder if any more bad things can happen to your character (and trust me they can).
For the most part the writing is good and the author doesn't dip into the usual cheese ball Christian fiction writing, but he has his occasional falls...and they're pretty bad. (There's a scene where they sit around and have a laughing contest...yeah) But it was certainly enjoyable. It has a cliff hanger ending to each book (yes, even the third one). Apparently there are two other series than answer questions left unanswered in this one...yeah, I'm pissed. But the questions I want answered are in one series that's only three books long so I guess I'll pick them up eventually.

Jodi Schiedel How come you gave it 5 stars if you are disappointed?

This is when I wish we could give half stars.
