really liked it
Read from November 19 to December 28, 2012

This was one of those books where I vacillated between a four or five star rating. When it started out, I was delighted. Somewhere near the end, I was restless for it to end, but when it ended I found myself not ready. Incredible antihero Ignatius is now one of my all time favorite fictional characters. No matter what horrors he committed, I never once stopped rooting for him. Finally, based on the highly satisfactory ending and the indelible impression left by its characters and language, i think four stars are just about right. (Many thanks to the unabridged digital public library for allowing me to cross this classic off my ever-growing list.)
