This is one book that has stayed with me for years. I often drift back to it. Ghosh gives us a wonderous intertwining of history, memoir, and fiction to paint a more whole picture of life, perception, and the meaning of community and travel. I could deffenitly identify with the isolation one feels as an outsider living in a foreign land. If no one knows who your uncle is or where your family came from, how will they trust you? How will you trust them? It is a beautiful story packed full of history.
