I don't know what it was about this book but it really wasn't my cup of tea. I loved the beach setting, but it seemed to lack some depth. Sisters Alice and Riley stay on Fire Island during the summers and have been friends with neighbor Paul since they were all little.

There are relationship twists between the three that last and drag out through out the book. About 2/3 of the way through the plot finally thickens and the action picks up a bit but not enough for me to give it more than 2 stars.

I just don't think Ann Brashares is my style.
