Read in July, 2009

I read the first couple of pages through Simon Pulse's "Read an excerpt" feature and was impressed with the mix of subjects. Emma has accidentally kissed her best friend's boyfriend. While this territory isn't new, the perspective contained light humor reminiscent of the dramatic Ruby Oliver balanced with the respectful questioning of Judy Blume's Margaret. Sadly, this plot turns into an over the top updated revision of The Crucible. Look forward to reading more by this author if she sticks to teen romance.
