I really would give this about 2.5 stars. It was on the upper end of "ok". However, I still have a hard time really getting "into" Asimov, as much as most sci-fi fans tend to love him. This book was DEFINITELY better than "I Robot" but still lacked... something. I just didn't get a natural feeling from any of the characters, even Lij. The entire universe setup didn't seem well thought out, but rather almost comical. Of course, to be fair, he was one of the first. I suppose I can admire the fact that he was able to take the leaps to conceive of such a world to begin with, but it's not as much fun as what many newer authors have put out.
