This world --you feel as though endless things could happen there, and there's so much more in it than the book takes place in. Wow. Talk about a convoluted opening sentence...

Dealing with Dragons was actually the first book in a long time that I've read that has sucked me in through the sheer easiness and pleasure of reading it rather than the page-turning abilities of the book or the good technical points of it. There were no awkward bits in it or any language or references in it for me to 'disapprove of' and be dragged out of the book for.

That's actually quite sad that there are so many books like that. I'm going to be on the hunt for more novels like this in the future, and I have a feeling I'll be spending quite a lot of that time in the childrens' literature section...
