Melissa So how do you like this series? I read the first book but I wasn't too motivated to keep reading.

Melanie I started reading this series after my boss recommended it to me. I really have enjoyed the series as a whole. It isn't high brow reading of course, but I find it to be entertaining-especially when it comes to Sookie's taste in men.

Sookie's fashion choices are questionable at best and her use of the phrase "Oh Boy" bothers me to no end. I don't know whether to be annoyed at her "Word of the Day" calendars or to just be amused by them.

"Definitely Dead" was probably my least favorite book in the series namely because you feel like you missed something while reading--like you skipped a chapter or a book in the series. I'm not sure why they didn't bridge the gap in "Definitely Dead" before publishing if even to print the short story "One Word Answer" as the prologue... I would read the short story before taking on this book, but all the others seem have been fun entertaining reads for me. :)

Melissa Well thanks for the input on those books. I realy do enjoy vampire series and I did like the first book, I just get frustrated with characters that so willingly trust their lives to guys that aren't always good for them. I guess I see that too much in life, so reading about a character making stupid decisions like that can be annoying. But Ill probably give the sequel a try.
Thanks
