really liked it
bookshelves: ya, 20th-century, romance, summer
Read in January, 1975

This book was dated even when I first read it - and yet there is something very appealing and convincing about it. In fact, it is Angie's older sister who seems unconvincing and unlikely to be attracted to her creepy boyfriend.

Sue I agree (about the book being both dated and appealing). I liked this one when I was younger, tried it again about 10 years ago, and I still liked it.

Wendy I remember thinking there was something vaguely creepy about this book, like the family was really not okay; like the sister was maybe headed for Lisa, Bright and Dark territory. Or maybe that was explicit; I don't really remember. I should reread. I do remember that I was surprised by it, because I expected it to be more in the Practically Seventeen genre.
