April has chosen the path that's always most difficult in life. Having been sexually abused as a teenager, but always believing it was consensual, leaves her seeking "bad" men. Oliver, April's best friend while growing up, returns home from California to attned law school with his beautiful fiance. April and Oliver's relationship becomes complicated as he tries to protect her from herself in this well-written novel.
Note to self: I think teens may like this adult novel because the main characters are just out of college and trying to make their own way in the world. Plus, many memories of their adolescent years appear throughout.
