it was amazing
Read in January, 2003

Kivrin, an Oxford history undergraduate in the late 21st century persuades her tutor, James Dunworthy, to send her to 14th centhry England for her thesis research. She experiences first hand the black death and is taken for a witch, an angel and many other things while there. This bok won both the Hugo and Nebula Awards and is one of the most unforgettable books I have ever read. Kivrin survives her experiences and when she eventually makes it back to her own time, she is forever changed. For the duration of the time I was listening to Jenny Sterlin's impeccalbe rendition of this tale, I lost my heart completely to Kivrin!Ouch! I don't regret a minute of it though!
