Good story for boys under 12. This first book was not written as well as the later ones in the series. This one was does however show how Twig is a real wimp and later in the series finally you see him mature. It is the story of a young boy who suddenly discovers that he is not who he thought he was and his pathetic attempts to find out where he belongs in the world. Creative settings but somewhat predictable plot twists, this was an OK read but I do really like the later books in the series much better.
