Solid book about 3 young people living in NYC during 9/11. The older boy is left cold by the event, while the other two search themselves for ways to respond. The two boys have a date that must be canceled by the attack, and when they try to get together a week or two later, their effort just falls flat. Enter the girl, who is seeking ways to express her feelings about such an enormous event and take some kind of action that feels like it would make the world a better place.
The story is told from the viewpoint of each character as a way of showing what it was like to be a teen during 9/11, and I found it a compelling story all around. wb/wts
