I admit, this is a biased review because my friend wrote this book. But that aside, I think it is an excellent brief historical overview of a very popular neighborhood in Boston. I also lived in this neighborhood so it was fun for me to follow along the street names and building/store front changes.

As a reader who does not have the above ties, I still think would enjoy this book. Its a great short history of type of non fiction that clearly links American historical events, such as the Boston Massacre, Boston Tea Party, famous Paul Revere ride to this North End neighborhood.
