This is a book by a book lover for book lovers about book lovers. Meggie and her father Mo have always moved around quite a bit. He is a book binder, who travels and fixes people’s old and broken books. Meggie loves to read, keeps a book under her pillow, and always travels with a box of special books. When a juggling fire-eater comes into their yard one day looking for a book of her fathers, Meggie and Mo become involved in an adventure with their aunt trying to keep an evil storybook character from destroying them and hoping to recover Meggie’s lost mother. This is a very long book that is rather hard to get into. Many people I know abandoned it after starting it. However, if you stick with it, it does get better.
