Surrender to the Devil This was yet another great historical romance by the masterful Lorraine Heath (if you want to know what I love her books, read by review for Between the Devil and Desire), but while I loved the slow-growing bond between Frannie and Sterling, and their characters separately, I just didn't find this one as "engaging" as the previous two books in the series.
I guess it had all to do with the fact the hero wasn't one of the Feagan's lads, and though Sterling was "dark and brooding" he lacked that edge of danger both Luke and Jack had.
Still, it was a much better effort than many historicals out there, so 4 ½ stars.
