"Year 100" is a good idea: what happens to Batman in an almost-present dystopian future where everyone has aged significantly?

However, there are a few problems with execution: the art is largely blurry and purposely misshapen, plot devices and characters are used without any explanation for why they're different from the "modern" Batman, and the story is weak.

That being said, the art is very gritty, bleak, and dark... possibly moreso than the modern traditional Batman storylines. Interesting choices are made, like to give lots of realistic detail to the Batman costume: more realistic "tights" with seams that are considerably more loose, military boots (with laces!), and a number of other very noticeable changes.

An interesting concept for a future Batman, but doesn't stand up to the expectations of a reader.
