Eleanor Pottinger, a modern-day costume designer, gets whisked back to the Regency era to help two ghosts right a wrong so they can "go to the light". Romance, intrigue, spies, thrills... This was fairly predictable but a nice summer read. Eleanor was very funny and while she took care to follow the dictates of the times, she didn't hide her intellect or pretend to be anyone other than who she was. That was admirable and refreshing. I was disappointed in the lack of Jane Austen interaction. She was barely in the story at all even though Eleanor continuously referred to her novels for help in sticky situations.
