I'm only 2 chapters in and I LOVE Talaith and Briec!! Briec's arrogance and complete lack of knowledge when it comes to human woman is hilarious. The 'stop talking to it' scene is just laugh out loud worthy!!

I adore Eibhear, he's so sweet and kind! So very unlike his lusty (alright, whorish) brother Gwenveal and arrogant as all hell Briec. It's wonderful how Talaith forms a relationship with three of the dragons, whereas in Annwyl's story she befriends Morfyd, falls for Fearghus and is just plain mean to both Briec and Gwenveal (although we are introduced to the entire clan to entice us into reading the entire series there is no relationship between Annwyl and anyone else except for Fearghus. Probably because she was a crazy bitch.

Talaith is as 'interesting' as she is mysterious and maternal. A great heroine thus far and the sexual tension between her and Briec is scorching. I like how we're given glimpses of Eibhear's fierce loyalty to his family and dragons in general contrasted to his kind heart and perceptive assessment of Talaith.

Loved it! I'm thinking Aiken might pair Eibhear with Talaith's daughter Izzy and I guess it would be justified (despite making Briec his father-in-law as on top of being his older brother XD) because Taliath is maternal towards Eibhear who is technically still a 'baby' dragon.

Can't wait for Gwenveal and 'The Beast's story after that hilarious epilogue and preview! A different take on Beauty and The Beast in that Gwenveal is the obvious beauty against 'The Beast's small, plain and stern self.
