Such an inspiring book! I loved all the ideas about encouraging all different aspects of creativity with children. I probably won't try ALL of the projects (Henna tattoos?...Nah), some of them I've been enjoying for years (Homemade Christmas!), and there are many I would like to try or I have already planned on trying (like some of the craft projects). I loved the suggestion in the introduction about taking time to appreciate and participate in our children's creative play. I love how she really encourages her children's creativity, giving them free reign of their projects. (I often want to be in charge of not only what but how my son creates) I like how the author stresses simplicity, gratitude, and a connection with nature. I borrowed the book from the library, but I would love to own it for myself.

8/31/09 - My mom just surprised me with a new copy of this book, and Amanda Blake Soule's newest book, Handmade Home!
