I don't know what to rate this book, because it's in between "liked it" and "really liked it" and there are some parts which are memorable for me.. and some parts which just fell flat upon my imagination.

But if I get to describe this book, I would say, it's CUTE and somewhat HARMLESS. sensuality is just below 5 (10 the highest)..

It was my second book of the author.. first book was "When he was Wicked", that will add as to why I am probably being biased over the sensuality factor.

The lovemaking was okay, but not steamy nor poignant.. though I have to say, it was one of those parts where you had to hold on to your seat or bed (wherever you are reading it) because it's just too important to miss out nor not enjoy it.

The characters are creatively done, I guess. Not original of course (Cinderella, anyone?) having a step-daughter made into lady's maid and lower than that, with a wicked and nasty step-mom and her daughters, though it was never said about them being ugly, except for Posy but she's not unattractive, she's just pudgy and not favored by the mother. I really like Benedict! He's hot.. just like any other heroes I encountered in historical romances. But beware, he doesn't give any witty nor remarkable quotes.. he just seems to keep saying and thinking how much he pines for the lady in masquerade ball.

it's a fairy tale.. so I recommend this for a light read.
