Heartfelt, eloquent, intimate. Truly a labor of love from a father to/for a son. I had some of the same conversations with my son via email, phone, and IM during the same time period in Iraq-but nothing as eloquent or philosophical as those here. This book is not a book about war but a book about love: love of country, family, and comrades in arms. I'll be driving up the 405 to visit Skip. It's the least I can do to honor him as I add him to my personal pantheon of heroes and friends who made the surpreme sacrifice "over there."
